About

Masae Day is a west coast performer and creator specializing in quirky characters and music-infused performances. She has worked with theatre companies across Canada, including the Blyth Festival, Firehall Arts Centre, Axis Theatre, Western Canada Theatre, Thousand Islands Playhouse, Chemainus Theatre Festival, Carousel Theatre For Young People, Seven Tyrants, and Ensemble Theatre Company, and Bard On The Beach. TV appearances include Supernatural, Girlfriend’s Guide To Divorce, and the Hallmark film Ms. Matched. Masae trained in theatre at Studio 58, Tooba Physical Theatre Centre, and Canada’s National Voice Intensive, and as a classical violinist at the University of Victoria. She produces and stars in a new play with music called Mozart and Her Brother (created with Mark Weatherley and the Geniusettes Collective, and premiered at the Anvil Centre in 2022). Masae is represented by BLK Management, and plays fiddle with the Vancouver-based indie-folk band LittleFox.
